How do I calculate tax & registration fees when buying a used car?

Perry Deshazior: well i live in r.i and i just bought my car for 19,566 so to figure out the taxes i do 19,566 x 1.07 (my sales tax is 7%) and that gives me my total and then you add 200 for registration fees and it = 21,135.62so basically you take the price of the car times 1.0? (what ever your sales tax % number is you add where the ? is) and then add registration fees....Show more
