If every employer who had two employees who didn't get along was forced to do something about it, then every workplace in the country would be considered a hostile work environment. If you feel that the behavior being displayed toward you is due to your age, race, gender, religion, or national origin, or it takes the form of sexual or personal advances or sexual comments or innuendo, then you would have a possible case for hostile work environment.If the comments do take these forms, then you would need ! to contact your manager and let them know that the behavior has gotten ! worse and now involves illegal harassment. At that point the manager should make reasonable accommodations to remedy the situation. While the employer does have to do something, they don't have to tell you what they've done. For example they might write up the other employee(s) but they don't have to tell you about that. They may also change the shifts of the other person so they don't work with you. The employer should not try to change your schedule to accommodate the situation though. If the behavior continues beyond that, you'd need to tell the manager again. The truth is, in Canada, around 10% of our GDP goes toward health care, and for small to medium sized start up businesses, many provinces have tax relief programs in place. I don't think that it would be cheaper to do busine! ss in either place, because of the taxation vs insurance costs! .As for the alternative fuel investment question, I don't necessarily feel that it is the responsibility of the auto industry to invest in alternate fuels and energy sources. The governments in Canada and the US should be making these investments and the auto industry should be working at improving their production of alternative energy vehicles to make them more affordable to the general public. We looked at purchasing a hybrid SUV, but decided not to because of the extremely high cost when compared with a traditional model. If places like GM could have more afforable production of these vehicles, then they could pass the savings on to the consumers. Or, alternatively, government could offer tax rebates to those who chose to drive environmentally friendly vehicles. If I knew that I would get back even 5% of the value of my environmentally friendly vehicle in taxes, then I definitely would have purchased one. Do not use sawdust or wood shavings as these are more likely to cause respiratory problems. Straw should also be avoided as it does not absorb urine well and the hard stalks can cause injuries. Hutches should be fitted with a water bottle (and small water bowl as well) and gnawing log (made of untreated wood).It is important to regularly change bedding and floor material and clean out the hutches to avoid ammonia build-up from urine and also to help reduce attracting flies to the area.
