Anybody know any good craft ideas or websites to get craft ideas from?

Vickie Clampett: If you go on Pinterest and go under "DIY and Crafts" you can find some ideas. Otherwise, just search some things on there. You can find a lot of neat things.I might give you some suggestions myself, as art is my life.Think of something you love, or like taking part in. Something that means something to you. List 5 things. Lets say you list flowers, animals, the environment, reading, and the color green. Then what you do is try to incorporate two or three of them together. (if you try more than 3, and they are very different, it will be increasingly difficult to think of ideas). Flowers for instance can be made from various things. You can tear out a page of a book and cut the petals from that and connect them for a beautiful display. Or you can look at things in nature and try to make a flower out of them. I once made a rose out of seashells and another out of pinecones. You just glue the pieces together. Look around and keep an open mind. Search on googl! e images and you'll receive (although sometimes disturbing images) very creative ideas and you can mold them to your will. Hope I helped :D...Show more

Teodoro Lamond: It depends on the crafts you like to do, but I find a lot of good ideas from the videos on YouTube and the links embedded in the pictures on Pinterest.Another good place is Instructables http://www.instructables.com/I find it a lot better than eHow http://www.ehow.com/Martha Stewart has some good ideas http://www.marthastewart.com/Elmer's Glue http://www.elmers.com/craftersAlthough Disney's Family Fun website is geared toward families, they have some nice crafts that adults might like to do http://spoonful.com/christmas/christmas-decoration...You didn't mention knitting or crocheting, but the yarn manufacturers' websites (Lion Brand, Bernat, Lily Sugar n Cream, Patons) have a lot of patterns. There is also Ravelry, Knitting Pattern Central and Crochet Pattern Central. For papercraft, I like the printer ! company websites, especially Canon http://cp.c-ij.com/en/ foll! owed by Hewlett-Packard http://www.hp.com/hho/hp_create/ and then Epson http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/PrintLab/pl_hom...If you could give more specific information about types of crafts you like to do, I would be happy to give more specific links...Show more

Anibal Katayama: knitting and crocheting are good ways to pass the time. i'm 15 and ive been doing both for a while. there are plety of easy patterns out there, and some of them are really cool. if u want to crochet, then all u need are a couple skeins of yarn (about $2-3 a piece at any hobby store or wal-mart) and a hook (anywhere from a few cents to a dollar depending on where/what kind you get). if you wanna knit then all u need is some knitting needles (ranging from a few cents to a dollar as well) and yarn. ill throw in a couple patterns too. it doesn't take very long to learn, i taught myself to knit and crochet in one day....Show more
