Maynard Phoubandith: Well you've got to focus on what you are most likely going to be able to wake up and face every morning. And look on it as not some temporary quick fix but as a healthier lifestyle change that excites you. You have to be excited about it to get anywhere otherwise it is too easy to fall for the excuses the brain always makes up about being tired or needing something. Make goals you can reach easily and then set the next goal once you've completed the first as a sense of achievement keeps you going whereas an unrealistic unreachable goal makes you too tired to start. Also you need variety, focus on it all as being about making the most of your life. Focus on feeling clean and energetic and light. I'm just going on and on about the mind at the moment cause I've found it is the key to everything. Maybe if running is painful you could still walk alot of places or swim. If you incorperate the activity into your daily life somehow it doesn't seem like such ! a burdan. Focus on doing everything you do with energy, lifting your heart rate can be done at any time not just in a formal exercise routine and raising your metabolism is the key to losing the weight along with incorperating less bready starchy, fatty and sugary things and more fruit and veges and water. Also just taking a different mentality in terms of savouring tthe experience of eating, exercising, living can make a difference. You could make like a sheet of boxes of things to do in the day and tick them off. Like a certain number of situps, running for 20 minutes, walking up the stairs to work. Monitor what you do, count everything as an achievement. When you most feel like you can't be bothered is when you need to be bothered because the best energetic feeling is just beyond the mist of tiredness. most reluctance is in your mind and when you actually do whatever it is you find it is not so bad. Avoid alcohol or anything that drains your energy and make the most of! living life....Show more
Delora Struzzi: You can start ! by walking slowly and increase you speed and distance as you go along. It is as good as running, especially on your case. Then try to reduce intake of calories, everytime you eat something you have to check the labels for the calorie content. You can eat a high protein food and drink water instead of beverages. Your goal to loose weight is all within youself, if you help yourself nothing will be impossible. You can also east salads just use low fat/calories dressings. Then if you decided to go to the gym it's better to have a trainer for at least a few days just to guid e you on how to use those equipments. But try with walking first don't weight everyday. Try to be active....Show more
Dan Seen: I would say you need to watch your fat intake and do some kindof cardio even if you just walk more.
Len Dalba: I find walking for someone who's new is incredibly effective. Just make time for 1 hour per day and a fast walk. No running, no gym. Make it fun. The only o! ther suggestion is no snacks after 7pm and make a few of your breakfasts oatmeal and fruit. I did this starting 3 months ago and am 30 lbs less. No injuries, I'm rarely sore and it works well. My other trick is I use an mp3 player to listen to books. The local library has quite a selection of books on cd...I burn them onto MP3's and look forward to the walk because I'm always listening to a few chapters....Show more
Rickey Vrieze: Your going to need to come up with a plan if you don't have the ability to do it yourself try some of the online diet websites http://www.fitness-web.com/fi/ . When you set goals for yourself be realistic about what you can achieve in what time frame, it usually takes much longer than people think. Make small incremental changes to your life style walking 5 minutes every day for 2 weeks, 10 minutes every day the next two weeks, and so on. Have a plan that can help you get back on track when you've skipped a few days or been bad. Don't be! at yourself up just get back on track....Show more
Lindsey Zanard! i: A good fitness plan would be a combination of three things: diet, cardio, and weights. With diet, you don't have to starve yourself, you just keep in mind that the most important meal is breakfast. So you can eat as much as you want, whatever you want during breakfast, and then eat less of lunch and dinner. But what works well for me is eating a satisfying dinner BEFORE 6 p.m. and then I don't eat anything anymore until the next day for breakfast. Drink plenty of water of course, because water helps you flush out fat from the body.Cardio workouts let you lose fat from your body. It exercises your heart, blood circulation and develops your resistance. For cardio, you can jog, brisk walk, bike, or do aerobic exercises--anything that keeps you moving and sweating for a period of time. Also, do situps. I know they're hard at first, but once you get used to it, the rewards are just tremendous. Again, drink plenty of water to rehydrate yourself and, yes, lose more fat. It's goo! d that there's a fitness center near your place. That'd take care of your weight training concern, which helps you tone your muscles and develop your strength. Enroll in that gym. No instructors? Go to hyperstrike.com for pointers. Or ask your fellow gym goers how to go about an exercise. These three make a fine combination for you to become fit. But you can skip weight training in favor of the first two. I lost over 10 lbs in just a month doing just dieting and cardio. Good luck....Show more
