My mother had an unstable family life. What kind of genealogy might I find if I research her family (she is deceased)?

Shawn Lelis: You will find nothing at all doing genealogy unless you can access her adoption records and they give more detailed information.... then depending on what level of information you find will determine what documents these people generated during their lifetime...all of this research first starts with getting access to her adoption records and how easy or hard that is depends on the country, in some you have to first find which adoption agency has them then go to court and get a judge to give permission for you to access them , while in other countries it can be as simple as requesting the adoption file and they will help you by pointing you in the right direction to research! ...Show more
