Shane Getler: No - a 3 day notice is not legal. He has to give you 30 days.
Forest Duttinger: 1 month notice is required.
Lia Argall: No I have not caused any physical harm hahaha thanks everyone for responding really helpful im freaking out cause I have nowhere to go! More detail to the situation is he is a friend of my best friend which is my roomate. His friend bought this house and wanted us to help with his mortage and he had 2 rooms. we have figured though hes a little crazy and I feel like im renting in a boarding school.
Libby Berkovitch: a three day notice is only legal if you have threatened someone with physical harm
Dee Depung: No it's not legal you have a month to month lease and legally he has to give you 30 days notice. He did that and you should be out by the end of August. Tell your landlord that if he wants you out sooner he should bring you to court for eviction, if you have paid your rent on time every month he won't win and yo! u will be out at the end of August anyway.
Jeremy Donohue: Is this like an apartment or something, or, are you renting a room in his house. I never heard of not being able to have visitors. Was that in the lease you signed? Sounds pretty strange. Pretty sure you get 30 days notice though.
